Wild Rock West Virginia is located along the New River Gorge near Fayetteville, West Virginia. The property borders the New River Gorge National River Park and boasts a commanding view of Fayetteville’s most-recognized landmark, the New River Gorge Bridge.

The 725-acre, 160 family community of Wild Rock West Virginia sits 900 feet above the New River. This rugged whitewater river flows northward through deep canyons and is among the oldest rivers on the continent. The New River Gorge National River park system is a 70,000-acre park rich in cultural and natural history. It is recognized for its exceptional outdoor recreation offerings, including whitewater rafting, fishing, hiking, rock climbing and camping.

Nationally, the area is recognized as an exciting contemporary location for home and recreation. In 2006, Arthur Frommer’s Budget Travel named Fayetteville as one of its coolest small towns in the USA. The same year, Outside Magazine listed the area as one of America’s dozen adventure hotspots, along with Hood River, Oregon; Moab, Utah, and Bozeman, Montana. In 2007, National Geographic Adventure Magazine included Fayetteville in its top 50 adventure towns and called the town “a smaller version of Asheville, NC.”
